For the Concert Poster/Flier project, I chose my friend Ava's band Been There Done That for it because they don't have a whole lot of art that goes along with their brand so I decided to make something in honor of their tour. I used a "70s" theme color scheme just because I thought it went with the vibe of the band and their style of music. Several things did not go as planned for example, I wanted my work to look a little more professional but who has time to look professional when you're already a day behind and you didn't have very much time to begin with. Also it's really a disadvantage to not know how to use a Adobe Illustrator very well, I feel like I could work 10x faster If I had the time to sit down and learn how to use it properly. I also had a whole other idea for the look I wanted my poster to have but I wasn't feeling very proud of my original sketch so I scraped it and started over. It's important to remember hierarchy and pay attention to the placement and size of the words on the poster to make your poster look professional and ready to sell to bands that need artwork.
