For the Self Portrait Lino Cut project, I chose the image of me standing by a fence in my softball gear because I thought I could put a lot of texture and detail into it, especially in the fence line. I used a size four to cut out the fence line for a gritty fence texture. I used a size one for my face to get kind of an abstract streaky texture on my face that makes it look cool. I had some difficulty carving out smaller spaces because my hand isn't very steady honestly. I also had troubles putting together the tool with the size carver I wanted but I figured it out eventually. Precision and attention to detail are key in making this portrait look good.
